Details: 32 hours of classroom and web lab time. ALL MATERIALS for the course are included in the registration fee of $1100.00 for those who register early. Learn the basics of how backflow incidents occur and how to prevent them; determine the degree of hazard and which type of backflow protection should be applied. Students will be instructed on proper installation & how to test all four testable assemblies utilizing the USC 10th edition test procedures. Reporting & record keeping, along with program implementation. BOTH the written and performance exams are given on the final day while training is still fresh and successful students will gain certification from the American Backflow Prevention Association (ABPA) which is recognized in Idaho for license and other surrounding states with the exception of Washington state. Training provides the information and procedures to prepare to challenge the Washington state exams. CERTIFICATES WILL BE GIVEN OUT TO SUCCESFUL EXAM APPLICANTS ON THE EXAM DAY ALLOWING FOR PROMPT APPLICATION TO THE STATE FOR LICENSURE. Course meets criteria required by the DIVISION OF OCCUPATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL LICENSES (DOPL) and has been approved for 32 hours / 3.2 CE's by the Water & Wastewater Professionals board and with the Plumbing Bureau for plumber credits. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
