Details: This course discusses the advantages and disadvantages of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. These SCADA systems allow drinking water and wastewater utilities to: Control & monitor process in real time from remote location; Analyze & calculate complex processes; Maintain processes according to control signals; Gather historical data, archiving & retrieving; Provide trend & alarm generation; Produce reports Additionally, the course will go over the basics of digital and analog signals for controls systems and their general uses in the drinking water and wastewater industry. The course will also discuss security risks for your SCADA system. Instructors: Casey Fisher and Gary Sievers, IRWA. CEUs Earned: 0.3 Drinking Water/Wastewater. Cost: $60 IRWA Members/$105 Non-Members. Dates: Thursday, March 2, 2023. Time: 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM Mountain Time/12:00 PM - 3:30 PM Pacific Time. Location: Online using Zoom platform.
