Details: This class will be 3 hours each day for two afternoons. You must attend both classes to earn 0.6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs): Tuesday, February 8, 2022 - 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM MST or 12:00 PM - 3:30 PM PM PST Thursday, February 10, 2022 - 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM MST or 12:00 PM - 3:30 PM PM PST This course will cover wastewater discharge permits for the state of Idaho. An Idaho Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (IPDES) IPDES permit authorizes a permittee to discharge pollutants from point sources into waters of the United States in Idaho, except on tribal land. DEQ requires those classes or sectors of discharges required by EPA to have a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit to obtain an IPDES permit but will not expand required coverage beyond federal regulatory requirements. You will also learn how to look-up EPA information and guidance pertaining to the IPDES requirements; How to find and understand the Idaho DEQ requirements for wastewater discharge permits and how to find your IPDES permit online and follow the requirements found therein.
